My name is Mel and I am a pastry chef in training from Melbourne. I absolutely love baking and eating any kind of baked good or sweet treat! I’ve loved baking for a few years now and I decided to turn that passion into my career. I started my patisserie course in February which I will finish in the middle of next year.
I work in a cupcake shop where we bake and ice the cupcake fresh everyday. It’s a fantastic place to work with lovely people which is great to have when we start at 6am. I hope to move on to another place when I finish my course that has more variety in what they make so I can gain more experience in the patisserie industry!
I’ve created this blog as a way of sharing my passion for baking and patisserie with others. This blog is giving me an excuse to bake as much as I want and I can’t wait to get more creative in the treats I produce for you. I’m also really interested in the photography side of the blog. Soon I will be doing a food photography course so I hope to really learn a lot and practice getting great shots of my baked goods 🙂
Baking makes me so happy and whenever I get into my kitchen and start whipping up a slice, cookie or cake I’m instantly put into a good mood even if I’ve been having a bad day. I hope you enjoy sharing my patisserie journey with me and hopefully creating some of the recipes I post! Enjoy! 🙂
